Destruction in Japan blog

This picture makes me want to cry, because the emotions that are in the picture. The mother and daughter are suffering from the destruction in Japan. The composition is good and i like how you can see through the window.

This picture shows clearly how the water was moving in to the city. This picture looks terrifying to me. I like the lighting and the way the picture was taken.

This picture is so emotional! It shows a picture of a family that might not even be alive. The little kids that still had a long life ahead of them. I think the lighting could've been a little better and i like how the color blend in the picture.

Touching People blog

  1. I think this project is pretty cool. It gives people a chance to be involve in photography and also interact with each other.
  2. I would probably be do it, because i love posing for pictures.
  3. I think it would be fun to shoot one at the beach with a bunch of teeneagers.
  4. I don't really think the photographer used a lot of the rules of photography. He definately didn't use the rule of thirds, but he did use some patterns.

Cool Advertising Idea

I really like this picture, because i like how all the colors blend in, but you can still see that the main focus is on the phone.

This makes me want to get an AT&T because it shows how all their phones will work worldwide, anywhere you go.

Types of Magazine Covers

Cover types

1. Early Magazine Covers- Almost always paintings, very religious, high moral.
2. The poster Cover- One big picture, no border. small text, less text, the text doesn't interfere with the photo. The picture has to be really good or very recognizable. Disadvantages: the cover doesn't really help you to tell you what the magazine is about.
3. Pictures Married to type- The words help the photo, does not interfere with the picture.advantage: you can see the photo more. The words and the picture go together. Disadvantages: You don't know what else is in  there and there aren't many entry points into the magazine.
4. In the Forest of Words- Tons of text on the picture. Also lot's of colors, different font and sizes. Disadvantages: too many words, too much to look at, also covers your photos.

Stuff you find on a magazine cover
you gotta have a price tag, with a bar code
